The August 2025 ECNF Newsletter is out, and it has an important update for Edenfield residents about the H66 development plans by Taylor Wimpey. Rossendale Borough Council (RBC) has received more documents from Taylor Wimpey, and have opened another public consultation. This is likely to be our last chance to make our voices heard before the plans go to the Development Control Committee! The consultation period has been extended to August 22nd, so please don’t delay! You can find all the documents and submit your comments on the RBC website using reference 2022/0451, or email them directly at planning@rossendalebc.gov.uk. Remember to quote “Re: Taylor Wimpey ref: 2022/0451” and include your name and address when submitting comments via email.
The Neighbourhood Forum recommends focusing your comments on aspects that affect you personally, as well as the long-standing objections, such as: high-density layout of the proposed development, loss of green space, increased traffic, loss of on-street parking, flood concerns, development phasing and lack of amenities such as shops and GP practices. We also encourage you to copy your comments to RBC council leader Alyson Barnes and the members of the Development Control Committee.
The Development control committee is made up of the following councillors:
marilynprocter@rossendalebc.gov.uk
jameseaton@rossendalebc.gov.uk
danielleashworth@rossendalebc.gov.uk
mattnorton@rossendalebc.gov.uk
