Following the Regulation 14 consultation on the draft Neighbourhood Plan which was held in April 2023 the Forum Management Committee considered all the comments received from residents, statutory consultees and others as well as any changes to planning regulations and guidelines. The Plan was then amended where appropriate and submitted to the Council in February 2024. Following some further amendments the Council have now agreed this latest version (known as Regulation 16) and started a six week consultation on 17th June 2024 which will run until 30th July 2024.
In accordance with Neighbourhood Planning regulations the consultation will be managed by the Council with little involvement of the Forum. All the documents will be posted on the Council website at: https://www.rossendale.gov.uk/local-plan/neighbourhood-plan/3
Hard copies are available to view at the Council offices at Futures Park, Bacup during normal opening hours.
All comments on the Neighbourhood Plan should be submitted direct to the Council via the online form which can be accessed here, emailed to [email protected] or posted to Futures Park, OL13 0BB.

After the consultation closes on Tuesday 30th July 2024 the Regulation 16 version of the Plan and comments received during the consultation will be reviewed by an independent Examiner whose report may request further changes. The final version will be put to a referendum of Edenfield residents. After adoption the Plan will be used by the Council when considering planning applications relating to the village.
